New numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau show Arizona is among the states with the most housing units in the country. As of July first of last year, Arizona had almost 2.9 million housing units. That was an increase of almost 13,000 from the year before.

Fire officials now say they have fully contained the Doce Fire, burning northwest of Prescott. The blaze, which charred about 10-and-a-half-square acres of the Prescott National Forest, is not, however, completely out, according to fire spokesman Bill Morse.
