Four Arizona airports are on the FAA’s list for tower
closures, due to the sequester cuts.Phoenix Goodyear, Glendale Muni, Laughlin-Bullhead International
and Ryan Field in Tucson all made the list – overall, 149 towers nationwide will
close, starting on April 7.

The state Transportation Department says it has come up with
a temporary solution for drivers heading to Page and Lake Powell. The move was
necessitated by a landslide last month on part of Route 89, which caused the roadway
to buckle.

Junction gets downright Medieval. The Arizona Renaissance Festival is about 40
miles – and 500 years – from Phoenix. I recently visited the fair, which
continues weekends through March, with one goal in mind: to find the most
fascinating person at the party.

A West Valley businessman has been appointed to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Clint Hickman replaces former supervisor Max Wilson, who resigned due to health concerns.

The City of Scottsdale is still tweaking its proposed
pedicabs ordinance. The public will be able to weigh in on the proposal at Thursday night's community forum. The Scottsdale Transportation Commission will
submit recommendations on the proposed pedicab ordinance to the city council
for a possible vote in April.
