A Peoria Police Officer will face punishment over an internet posting that some argued threatened the president. Last month, Peoria Police Sergeant Patrick Shearer posted a picture on Facebook showing a bullet-riddled t-shirt with the face of President Barack Obama.

The 2012 Presidential Preference Election will be held Tuesday, Feb. 28. Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.; the first results are expected to be released about 8 p.m.Only voters registered in the Republican Party and Green Party are eligible to participate.

The Arizona Department of Corrections will not have all the lethal injection serums for the two death sentences scheduled over the next 10 days. Corrections officials notified the Arizona Supreme Court they will only be administering a one-drug protocol.

Phoenix mayor Greg Stanton is headed to Mexico this week. He and city manager David Cavazos are the only two American officials invited to speak to Mexico’s annual Conference of Municipalities. Stanton and Cavazos will speak about long-term planning and financial management at the city level.
